Sure, we tick all the boxes when it comes to the formalities: we’re IATA accredited and the only ones certified with ISO 2009:2015. But what does that actually mean? We get it – being the best in the business goes well beyond the paperwork.
A little extra goes a long way. Confirming your preferred seat, taking care of online check-in, and recording your frequent flyer number, so you don’t miss out – these are just some of the things we promise to get right. Our business is built on loyal clients and by appreciating their needs, most of them have been with us from day one.
We’re proud to be innovators, but real satisfaction comes from using the tools that make a difference to you. By investing in the latest technology, our team can offer flexible solutions and the very best deals in real-time. It’s also crucial to keeping you safe. Our corporate traveller tracking system lets us assess the risks and pinpoint your whereabouts with ease.
It’s not unusual for our clients to pop in for a coffee with their favourite travel advisor. There’s a genuine rapport and the whole team is hands-on. Even our MD is on speed dial for his original customers from back in the day. And, it’s not only travel arrangements we handle with care. If number-crunching is part of your job, then Fred, Grace, and Keziah from accounts will provide comprehensive, customised reports exactly how you want them. Whatever you need, just ask.
Our trusty finance manager, Fred has been looking after the purse strings since 2008. A certified public accountant, he keeps us on course with his level-headed approach and sound judgement. But don’t let his serious side fool you; Fred is a great listener, an even better talker, and always ready to help. Like any numbers man, he loves a good deal: nothing ruins his holiday faster than finding his vouchers are invalid! For Fred, travel is about learning new things and embracing positive change.
A total travel addict with a gazillion years in the business, Declan held several senior positions with British Airways worldwide, before striding into Simba Travelcare in 2005. He’s a super guy who takes great pride in us being known as the friendliest travel advisors on the block. It’s always good to have something on the boss, and we’ll never let him forget that time he made the ultimate rookie mistake – arriving at Dublin Airport minus his passport! Declan still gets a huge kick out of booking people’s travel, and his own favourite destination for a break is Nice.
Evolution…first we had sales reps, then sales execs, then account managers, and now Lydia Bakashaba (our longest serving team member). Forget about fancy-pants titles, Lydia is like the matriarch of the herd and the guardian angel of your corporate travel account. With many years’ experience in the industry, her knowledge is mind-boggling and she’ll do everything in her power to protect her clients’ interests and find the best package for your needs.
Behind every great man is a greater woman, so when the boss is playing golf call his assistant and travel advisor extraordinaire Anita Butesi. With an IATA Diploma in Travel & Tourism and a Degree in Ethics & Development Studies, Anita is passionate about helping people discover the world. Her own perfect escape blends relaxation with experiencing new cultures and the Maldives is next on her bucket list.
Schooled in business and finance, Grace always has the latest information at her fingertips. Ask nicely and she’ll provide a huge selection of customised reports, all designed to support your business and save you money. Grace travels in search of adventure, and her dream destination is Paris.
Diana Najjombwe is our dream-maker, just tell her what you want and she’ll help you plan the holiday of a lifetime. With more frequent flyer miles under her belt than Vasco de Gama, she believes travel is a necessity rather than a luxury. Diana knows Uganda better than Speke himself, and organising unforgettable, stress-free holidays is what gets her out of bed in the morning. Client satisfaction is everything!
Full of enthusiasm, Ritah never tires of planning the next getaway for herself and her clients. She has diplomas in Tours & Travel and Information Technology, and her appetite for adventure is matched by her attention to detail. Ritah loves working in such a fast-paced industry and never shies away from a challenge. Always set on seeing it all, one of her biggest holiday regrets is not managing to complete every excursion on her itinerary.
Another of our three finance amigos, Keziah works with Grace and Fred to keep all the invoices and statements in check. There’s no stopping Keziah; she’s always full of energy and credits coming to work with giving her the confidence to fulfil her dreams. She has worked in hotels and travel agencies, has a number of business and finance qualifications under her belt, and is currently studying for further accounting certifications.
The thought of venturing into the unknown is what gets Patricia to pack her suitcase and head away on holiday. She loves stepping out of her daily routine, meeting new people in places she never expected, and seeing the world through different eyes. The perfect person to plan your trip and manage your budget, Patricia has a Travel & Tourism Diploma, as well as a finance qualification.
